UNSEEN: A Debut Film by Phillip Linnik
Hi, I'm Phillip.
Welcome to the start of UNSEEN, my debut feature film.
Set in an East Coast college town, a homesick student wants nothing more than to forget, but a disturbing discovery in the woods pulls him and his friends into a mystery that threatens to ruin them all.
UNSEEN is a psychological drama about the things we all carry within us. What we choose to reveal to those around us can be the most beautiful and terrifying part of being alive. This film is about how we carry it all: the seen, and the unseen.
Why We're Doing This
The footage you've seen so far was shot over the past few months, mostly by a crew of three: me behind the camera, Josh Czuba and Timothy Linnik in front of it. It's been a way to explore and build the world, while I've been writing the script with Sol Wooten and Tim. I don't know HOW this next phase will unfold. Maybe we go independent, calling in favors and turning friends' apartments into sets. Maybe it finds a bigger, more traditional path.
All I know is that UNSEEN will exist, because making films is how we grasp the unexplainable. In 2022, Tim and our cousin Vlad, our best friend growing up, were passengers in a car accident that took Vladdy's life. I was the first person on the scene. Tim's injuries were nearly fatal. What's inside this film is what death could not take. It's proof that we're still here: that you can go through hell and still choose to see life.
Backstory
Raised by Ukrainian immigrants in the small town of Ithaca, NY, my brothers and I spent a childhood remote enough to dream up entire worlds of our own. After high school, I started creating experimental 30-second bits. Just me, my $250 Canon Rebel, and my younger brother Tim. Hundreds of videos later; dropped college, books (actually) read, and dignity occasionally lost, we'd learned how to wear every hat along the way (shoutout YouTube University). Somehow, 1.6 million people found interest in our little endeavors.
Six years later in April 2025, along with the Creator Camp squad, we made our first 38-minute short film “They Were Art Thieves.” This only fed our fire. Which is how we got here, and why I'm asking you to be part of what's next.

I won't pretend this will be easy. Making a film demands years, perseverance, and resources. Money allows us to bring many beautiful minds together to give this story life. Whatever you give goes straight into the work and directly supports the production.
Another goal is to hire a small, part-time team to document the process of bringing UNSEEN to the screen. This documented series will live free for everyone on YouTube, mostly because I wish I could've watched someone build a film from the ground up when I was just starting out at 19.
We'll most likely launch a fundraising campaign at some point. But before then, if you'd like to be a part of this journey today, there are multiple ways to join us.
