Privacy Policy

UNSEEN is a film in development, not a company with a data department. This site collects as little as it can get away with, and this page describes all of it plainly.

There is no analytics on this site. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording, no cross-site tracking, and no cookies set for any of those purposes. Fonts are served from our own host rather than a third party, so no outside service is told which pages you read.

If you enter your email address in the signup form, we store it so we can send you updates about the film. That is the only reason we hold it. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

The form is handled by Pagesmith, the platform that builds and hosts this site, and your address is stored on their infrastructure on our behalf. To stop receiving updates or to have your address deleted entirely, email us at hello@theunseenfilm.com and we will remove it.

The form is protected by Altcha, which asks your browser to solve a small computational puzzle to prove it isn't a bot. It runs in your browser, sets no tracking cookies, and sends nothing to a third-party service.

Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. When you choose to contribute, you are sent to a checkout page hosted by Stripe, and you enter your card details there, not here. This site never receives, sees, or stores your card number or billing details.

The only thing this site sends to Stripe is the amount you chose to give. Stripe collects your email address and payment information directly from you on their page, emails your receipt, and handles that information under their own privacy policy, which you can read at stripe.com/privacy.

Like every website, this one is delivered by servers that keep basic technical records of requests: things like IP address, browser type, and the time of the request. These are handled by our host, Pagesmith, and are used to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with your email address.

This site links out to Instagram, Patreon, and YouTube. Once you follow one of those links you are on their service, subject to their privacy policies and their tracking, over which we have no control.

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a US state with its own privacy law such as California, those requests are rights you hold under that law, and exercising them costs you nothing and will never affect how we treat you.

In practice, what we hold is almost certainly just an email address, and one message to hello@theunseenfilm.com is enough to have it removed.

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their email address, write to us and we will delete it.

If the way this site handles information changes (a new tool, a mailing list provider, anything that collects more than what is described above), this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it.
